BILINGUAL PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL EVALUATIONS

Bilingual psychoeducational evaluation services to determine special education eligibility include:

  • Collecting relevant data from existing records, including intervention data, as appropriate;

  • Observing student in the classroom, as appropriate;

  • Interviewing student and parent(s)/guardian(s) in Arabic, as appropriate;

  • Interviewing teacher(s) and/or relevant stakeholder(s), as appropriate;

  • Administering assessments (e.g., cognitive, academic, adaptive, social-emotional, behavioral, etc.) in Arabic and English, as appropriate;

  • Scoring and interpreting norm-referenced assessments, as appropriate;

  • Ensuring completion of legally required Evaluation Team Report (ETR) paperwork;

  • Coordinating, scheduling, and leading eligibility meetings with parent(s)/guardian(s), teacher(s), school staff, and/or other relevant stakeholder(s); and

  • Carrying out other activities relevant to adequate completion of an evaluation
